In response to questions posed to me about the form of Natick’s government and whether we should consider changing it, I have posted the following links for anyone interested in reading more.

Specifically, under M.G.L. 43B, the Commonwealth of MA allows communities to form Charter Commissions to proposed alternative forms of government.

  • Read an EXCELLENT study undertaken by Clark University students for the MA Municipal Association HERE. In it, you can find commentaries by participants from several Charter Commissions and the citizens effected by the changes to their forms of government.
  • Learn more in brief HERE (a great summary from Boston).
  • Learn more directly from MA General Law (M.G.L. Ch. 43B) HERE.
